In Indian philosophy or to say vedic philosophy what the phrase "ANNADATA SUKHI BHAVA" means is “thanks to the Almighty or Bramha who has given me food for the day”. Our philosophy believes that every bite that we get to eat is only by the grace or krupa of the God. No matter how rich or poor etc you are the provision for your daily food is made by him.

This phrase is normally invoked or used as a prayer after you had food. It is expression of gratitude towards the God who provides us food which is absolutely essential for life. This body is called as "ANNADEH OR PINDA" Which means made from food.

The moment we are born further growth of our body is only due to the food we eat and before birth it is due to the food our mother eats. In short our body is dependent on food so we thank the giver of food.
